Meet beautiful Miss Carleigh! I’ve watched this girl grow up over the past four to five years into a lovely young lady. I still remember the day she approached me about two years ago and told me that she wanted me to do her senior portraits. I smiled, told her thanks, but reminded her that it was a few years off. She said she didn’t care and that she had made up her mind. Where did those past few years go?! What fun it was to spend some time with her capturing her senior portraits last week! All of the images were taken at her farm in Carroll County, Maryland.

We walked around the property to get some ideas about where we wanted to take her portraits. When I saw this porch swing on their front porch I was so excited! I love porch swings. Some of my best memories with my great grandmother and her sister were spent swinging on the front porch swing looking out over their meadow and watching the heifers graze. Also, porch swings are just so sweet for portraits!

We wanted Carleigh’s portraits to reflect her. She’s a sweet girl with a love for all things country. So a wooden fence with a cornfield in the background seemed incredibly fitting. :)

She also loves her animals! This is her miniature goat Jasmine.

And this is her horse Red. He’s such a sweetie. I actually “farm-sat” for them a few times while they were away on vacation and got to take care of these sweet horses.

I love these two below. It just captures her bond with Red. There’s just something so mysteriously wonderful about a girl’s love for her horse.

And this is her other guy, Chief. He was her rescue a few years back. He’s a bit ornery, but definitely a cutie!

A country girl’s portraits wouldn’t be complete without a few photos in an open field wearing a dress with cowgirl boots, right? You’re so pretty Carleigh!

We also snuck in a few shots with her best friend, Delaney, before the thunderstorm hit.
