I’m so excited to welcome Brandon and Lori into my “photography family”! They are such a sweet couple! They have a really neat and kinda crazy love story that brought them together. Brandon was introduced to Lori through her niece. Lori’s niece suggested he email her aunt Lori and see if she would be interested in getting to know him. He bravely emailed her. He waited and waited with no response. So he decided that she probably wasn’t interested and was ready to move on. Just then he received an email back from the recipient saying that he had the wrong email address, but because of how sweet he seemed, she wanted to be sure he knew that the email didn’t arrive to the correct person and she wished him luck! Amazing in my opinion! So Brandon tracked down the correct email address and tried again. This time the email landed in the correct inbox and was received by hesitant, but giddy Lori. She thought and prayed about her reply to Brandon for ten days before replying to him. Again, poor Brandon was left wondering if she wasn’t interested. But, she was. They had their first date surrounded by Lori’s family because they were all visiting for her nephew’s wedding. Brandon proposed on March 30, 2013 surrounded by all of Lori’s closest family and friends. He even managed to include her best friend who lives in Colorado, but was in Maryland visiting family. Lori and Brandon have expressed to me that their engagement has been long and sometimes difficult. They are committed to their convictions and faith. Lori told me, “We are hoping to see this through in a way that honors God and that our wedding day is a reflection of Him working in us.” I am very much looking forward to celebrating such a special moment in Brandon and Lori’s lives and capturing the highlight of their lives thus far! We chose to capture their engagement portraits at the Union Mills Homestead in Westminster, Maryland. Lori is like me and is a hopeless romantic. We both loved the Union Mills Homestead for capturing that romantic and rustic feel for their engagement pictures. Brandon and Lori, I’m looking forward to capturing your sweet memories on your wedding day next year! Subscribe to receive updates in your inbox when new blogs are posted.
