The loveliest materpiece of the heart of God is the love of a Mother.
-St. Therese of Lisieux
May I add to that quote, “the love of a Godly Father” as well. There is no love on earth as strong, tender, and proud as a new mom and dad’s love. She is physically strong beyond comprehension to have given birth to another human life. She is strong at heart and ready to protect and care for her newborn child. Yet she is tender. She gently cradles her baby against her chest so she can hear the beating of her heart which she knew so well inside the womb. There is no place more peaceful for mother and child than this. He is proud beyond his wildest dreams of the strength and commitment of his wife. He is genuinely proud to be given the responsibility of being this child’s father. Their combined strong and tender love for their child is heavenly.
Oh, how evident that love is in Karli! I was filled with so much joy watching her interact and care for baby H. Motherhood is so beautiful on you my dear friend! God is good and has blessed you and Matt with a gorgeous and healthy, sweet girl! If you would like to read Karli and Matt’s story please go to her blog, Feed Me, Mama, and read their story of “Infertility, Miscarriage, and Hope.” Click the following link if you’d like to view their maternity photos. Unfortunately, Matt couldn’t join us for baby’s newborn session. It was for good reason though as he’s a devoted husband and father and had to go to work that day.
I absolutely love capturing these irreplaceable, sweet memories for my clients! I hope you enjoy these images! Leave some love for the new mom and dad :)
She was the smiliest newborn I’ve ever photographed!
Isn’t this sleepy fox hat just adorable?!
The necklace she’s “wearing” is handmade (it’s not around her neck, that would be unsafe). Daddy, Matt, gave it to Karli shortly after she gave birth to baby “H” so she can wear it until baby girl is older and momma can pass it down to her.
This adorable blanket was handmade by baby’s great-grandmother to match the color theme of her nursery – mint and pink. Little owl booties from Target.
The many faces of baby-girl. She was definitely happiest snuggled on momma’s chest.
This blanket was handmade by Matt’s mom.
Momma Karli did an amazing job calming and helping to situate little girl for her photos.
