Do you feel like your family is facing constant obstacles this year? If so, this post is for you. This is a dream and word of encouragement for families!
On February 27th of this year I had a dream to prepare me and my family right before the shutdown. I dreamt that my husband Justin, myself, and our two sons Noah & Caleb were all holding hands and soaring over mounds of grass across a field. I knew these mounds of grass were obstacles. It was nighttime and was dark, but dawn was just beginning and it was a beautiful dawn! We were running, leaping over these mounds of grass (obstacles), and soaring towards their school and towards the dawn. Justin was leading the way, but the equality between he and I was strongly highlighted to me in the dream. We were all smiling and full of joy and anticipation.
While I feel like this was an important personal dream at the time for my family, I’ve been feeling prompted to share it publicly now to encourage families. If you feel like you’ve been coming up against obstacle after obstacle this year be encouraged with this:
⁃Obstacles are nothing but little mounds of grass to God, easily soared over.
⁃You are “married” to Jesus, he is leading the way. You can rest in his ability to lead you over every obstacle. And there is a GLORIOUS day dawning!
⁃Colossians 3:1-4 TPT “Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with him in his glory!”
⁃Everything and everyone precious to you is held tightly by him and you together. Your kids will be more than okay, they will SOAR.
God is doing a beautiful work in families! Press into Him and what that looks like for your family. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal the beauty of this season to you, even though the circumstances may feel dark. Ask God what He wants to come out of this time for your family.
What is one beautiful thing you’ve seen come out of this time for your family so far? I’d love to hear in the blogpost comments!
