I love when my couples choose a unique place for their engagement portraits! Nicky and Tim chose Patapsco State Park because they wanted a nice outdoor setting that would be pet friendly. Yes, they wanted to include their adorable dogs, Cooper and Tucker, in their pictures! I was so excited about that because I’m a dog lover too!
I arrived a few minutes early to scout out the surroundings and choose a few places that I thought would be nice based on scenery and lighting. Then Nicky and her Matron of Honor, Brittany, with the pups pulled up with Tim following in another car. Brittany got out in an adorable mint top (I LOVE this color by the way!) and pulled out her DIY props made by her and Brittany to show me. Cooper and Tucker were SO well behaved, they even looked at me most of the time! Nicky, you have them trained well for the camera!
Every couple I’ve had the pleasure of working with has a unique story. Tim and Nicky were set up by friends at a party. I personally think this is a great way to meet someone you’re compatible with because that’s how my husband and I met! I think it works so well because you have mutual friends with common interests, and most likely, similar values. As I edited and looked through their photos, there’s no doubt in my mind just how much they love each other. The way that they look at each other and their ability to be silly with each other truly shine in these photos.
Tim and Nicky are getting married at one of my FAVORITE places – The Union Mills Homestead in Westminster, MD. I am a bit biased though since that’s where my husband and I were married almost two years ago! I can’t wait for their wedding and to see their style showcased throughout their wedding day!
Seriously, aren’t these little guys so adorable in their bandanas!
Tim is an avid golfer, and a very good one from what Nicky tells me! Tim, if you ever decide to go pro I’ll watch and root for you!
This could possibly be my favorite ring shot to date! I just love the sunshine shimmering on the stone!
Nicky, I LOVE your style girl! Boots, a girly dress, and pearls… doesn’t get much better than that!
Love me some lens flare!
Thanks so much Brittany for helping with Cooper and Tucker!
