I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. At Justin and Courtney’s last meeting with me we sat and discussed our lives, our dreams, and how the decisions we’ve made have brought us to where we are today. Some decisions in our past were good, even great, some not so much. But, ultimately, we are thankful for even the “bad” ones because they made us who we are today and we wouldn’t change a thing! I believe that Justin, Courtney, and their adorable girls were brought to me for a reason, like all of the people that I have the pleasure of working with. They were referred to me by a dear colleague and friend of mine in the photography business. That in and of itself is a blessing and an honor as she is a well established and experienced photographer in my immediate area.
Justin and Courtney have the most precious twin girls, Ava and Grace. At our first meeting the girls wanted to crawl across the table to give me hugs! They melted my heart right away! I always encourage any couples that are searching for their wedding photographer to make sure that they are a good match, personality wise, for each other before booking because they will be spending so much time with that person. And I am completely okay with not booking with a couple because they feel like they may be more compatible with someone else. But, during my meeting with this sweet family we both knew we were a perfect match! The girls even gave Noah (my son) and I kisses and hugs goodbye after a short 30-minute meeting. I am SO looking forward to photographing Justin and Courtney’s Gramercy wedding next year!
Please enjoy a few photos from their engagement session at the always-lovely and rustic Union Mills Homestead in Westminster, Maryland.
