Nick and Lauren had a beautiful and warm fall day for their Roop’s Mill Westminster, Maryland wedding! The weather was what every bride and groom (and photographer) pray and hope for – comfortable temperatures and no chance of rain! They couldn’t have had a more perfect day for an October wedding! I was thrilled to capture the precious memories of Nick and Lauren’s wedding day because I had known Nick since we were kids and Lauren since high school. Lauren and I had an art class together in high school. She was a year older than me and I always thought it was so cool that she was nice to me and talked to me in class, especially since I was younger than her. I was fairly quiet and shy in high school so I remember those times in art class very fondly. I did not know Nick well prior to working with them, but have known him since we were kids and knew that he had a nice family because our sisters played sports together. So when Lauren approached me to do their engagement photos last year I was ecstatic! First, I was excited because I didn’t even know they were dating at the time (don’t know how I missed that in our small town). Second, because I was happy that my kind friend from high school found a great man and his family to marry into.
Nick and Lauren, thank you for including me in one of the best days of your life as your photographer! It was an honor to capture those precious memories for the both of you! I’m thankful for time spent with both of you and hope for more time spent together in the future!
Such dapper gentlemen!
We were kind of confined to this little spot on the grounds so that none of the guests would spot the bride before the ceremony. I’m not too upset about it because the lighting was great and the images turned out beautifully! :) Just check out those gorgeous fall colors in the background.
Lauren’s brother, Michael, unfortunately is deployed and could not attend the wedding. Thanks to their friend Lindsey he was able to watch the whole wedding via FaceTime and even chat with his sister and new brother-in-law after the ceremony. This was one of the sweeter moments of the entire day. I shed a few tears myself watching this precious moment unfold.
Such a FUN group!!
Nick and Lauren, never lose the laughter in your relationship. That’s something so special that you have. Laughter enables us to not take ourselves too seriously and to always enjoy each other’s company. I love seeing the laughter between the two of you.
Sorry, I just HAD to post these… too funny not to share! :)
